We are looking for a Project Engineer for our Maersk Drilling office in Gdansk. As a Project Engineer in Maersk Drilling you will be part of the Project Management team in the Operations department, in which you are responsible for planning and supporting execution of projects on the operational rigs. You are expected to work closely with the internal teams such as engineering and is also expected to give support to the innovation and the Commercial team for new business opportunities. It is expected that you take ownership of the project and team and is ready to build a successful environment. You will have close cooperation with Clients, Rig Managers, Project manager and technical managers with high influence and to ensure that quality and milestones are met.

• Take part in the coordination of technical projects related to modifications and upgrades of equipment on an offshore drilling unit, installation of drilling service equipment and support the operation with high quality project services (EPIC) 
• Manage dedicated scopes and prepare plan and budget. End-to-end delivery of the scope. 
• Manage internal and external stakeholder. Liaise and coordinate with Clients, Rig Teams and internal stakeholders Work as a one team and ensure all 3rd parties are delivering to agreed scope and expectation: design, fabrication and installation onboard 
• Work with various technical challenges and improvements for offshore drilling rigs 
• Travel for surveys and supervision of scopes onboard the rigs 
• Support the project manager and delivering within agreed time and budget and end-to-end, which means high quality in all aspects planning, engineering, execution and documentation. -Build a strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders across the value chain 
• Effective and efficient planning, risk management, change management and cost control. 
• Ensuring high quality specifications and scoping towards external partners and suppliers and drive alignment 

Preferred Education   

• Master or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Structural, Electrical engineering or similar.  

Competencies:

• 1+ year of Engineering, shipbuilding, offshore projects or similar relevant multi disciplined experience. 
• Strong communication skills. Proficiency in English. 
• Understand budgeting  
• High level of flexibility required for new tasks and priorities in a fast-changing environment. 
• Computer literate who can write and produce high quality procedures, reports and documents. 
• Microsoft office and apps 
• Project planning tool (MS projects, Primevera or similar) 
• ERP systems 

One or more skills required: 

• Mechanical systems: pump, motors, hydraulic system, piping - preferred 
• Naval Architect- structural engineering- 
• Process and flow engineering 
• Electrical power systems and control systems 
• Marine systems and equipment  
• NDT evaluation 
• Well control equipment 
• Project management/scrum experience
